Alice Stevenson was elected to the County District 1 seat in November, 2006 and was sworn into office January 8, 2007. As a retired school teacher, she had become interested and involved in local politics and had been attending meetings of the Teton County Planning & Zoning Commission and the Teton County Commissioners for many months before her election. Mrs. Stevenson taught preschool and elementary school in Teton County, Idaho and Teton County, Wyoming for 27 years.

Mark Trupp was elected to the County District 2 seat in 1998 and was re-elected for two subsequent terms. He served as Board chairman for four years. Mr. Trupp is currently chairman of the Tri-County Probation Services, the 5C Juvenile Detention Center and Eastern Idaho Health District. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Idaho Farm Bureau Board. Mr. Trupp operates a 1,500–acre irrigated and dryland farm producing barley, wheat and hay.

Larry Young, Board Chair, was elected to the County District 3 seat in November, 2006 and was sworn into office January 8, 2007. Mr. Young had eight years experience on the County’s Planning & Zoning Commission. Mr. Young has been self-employed since moving to Teton Valley in 1982. He was a partner in the custom log home construction business of Hansen/Young Builders for many years and currently earns a living designing homes.
