Dust Abatement
Members of the public may hire contractors to apply dust suppressants to Teton County Roads from June 1 to September 15 road and weather conditions permitting. Any work in the Public Right-of-Way requires permitting though Teton County to protect the public's interest in the road. The following permit is designed to specifically for Dust Abatement and must be completed and approved prior to any application.
The life of a dust control treatment to a gravel road is normally only through the dry season in which it is applied and may be shorter depending on the traffic volumes and weather conditions. Teton County WILL NOT maintain the road as a hard surface road and at the end of the dry season (Oct 1) will resume grading and rocking the road as needed.
Application of diesel fuel, stove oil, motor oil, etc. to roads is strictly prohibited by law.
